Bio:
Tammi Hartung is an ethnobotanical herbalist and organic grower with over 46 years of experience working with plants. She and her husband, Chris, own Desert Canyon Farm, a certified organic farm in Canon City, CO since 1996. There they grow over 3,200 varieties of potted plants to sell farm-direct each spring and year-round to garden centers in Colorado and northern New Mexico. They also grow perennial seed crops (herbs and flowers) for a German seed company. Tammi is an International speaker and teaches about all things "plants". She writes books and blogs at tammisgreenthoughts.wordpress.com and desertcanyonfarm.wordpress.com .  She is an avid hiker with her dog, Cedar, a passionate embroiderer of colored threads, and loves to read and garden. She believes that one of the most powerful things you can do in life is "sit a spell" on your porch or under a tree and just be mindful of what is happening around you in the world of nature.
