Susun Weed answers 90 minutes of herbal health questions followed lwed by a 30 minute interview with Starfeather Marcy.
Starfeather has lived and taught the Sacred Path through visionary art, women’s circles, drumming, and energy healing for over thirty years. Her goal is to bring self-empowerment and awareness to women through art, craft, healing, and the re-establishment of sisterhood among all women. Earth based spirituality, with an undeniable pull to Native American indigenous teachings, emerged as the way to practice and incorporate sacredness into her life on all levels. Blessed with many teachers, trainings, and magical experiences along the way; she established herself as a Medicine Woman- a teacher and mentor for others. She ran a retail business, “Starfeather’s Sacred Art & Provisions for the Journey," in Edmonds WA for sixteen years. During that time she also facilitated weekly women’s circles, which became the foundation of her spiritual work. Including co-created prayer, mediation, talking stick sharing, drumming, and encouraging creativity. Starfeather continues to lead women’s gatherings and spiritual retreats;where women create their own Medicine Shields and enjoy sacred craft day retreats. The call of the drum has also been a blessing and interregnal part of her joy and her work. Drumming in Sacred Circle, women connect on a heart level. The experience is very fulfilling and nurturing. Asa dedicated craftswoman, Starfeather also teaches people how to make their own hand-drum in ceremony.
